Route 66 Neon

I attended the lighting ceremony for this awesome motel neon on Route 66 in South St. Louis Country in Missouri. The sign was purchased for $100 at auction over 50 years ago when the old motel closed. It spent that time leaning on the outside of a barn in rural Missouri. One side had all the glass intact after all those years. So thankful someone thought back then that it should be saved.

I am looking back and I'm Amazed!
So many wonderful collectors and visitors From all parts of the United States and the World! Literally, folks from Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, Sweden, Argentina, Mexico, Canada And more!
I'm absolutely gobsmacked looking back on it all!
Life has changed over the past couple years and I am a disabled empty nester instead of a single parent with sole custody of 2 wonderful boys.
Life has changed and so have my priorities, and i've decided to no longer maintain an operate the shop as I have over the past twelve years. I still have the Shoppe and property and a trailer full so visitors are still welcome to come by but I just won't be open to the public.

1934 Texaco Keyhole Sign

It’s time to offer this 1934 Texaco (black T) tanker truck keyhole sign for sale. It measures 10 5/8” x 15 ½”. I picked this sign up in south Texas – Harvey and Lois Newberry owned a gas station in Mathis many years ago and this sign was passed down through the family. It is a single sided porcelain (SSP) die cut sign that I had authenticated by The Authentication Company (TAC). They scored it at 8.9 and valued it at a minimum of $1,250. Their report will be available soon on their website.
As you can see, it is not perfect but it’s in pretty good shape. It is missing three of the original seven split-back mounting grommets.
