Esso Imperial signs were used in Canada as I recall, and I believe there were also Esso Colonial signs in New England.

They weren't all single sided. I have 2 double sided Esso "Standard Dealer" signs, one 5' and one 7'. You don't see nearly as many as the plain Esso version. I think I saw one at Miles Little's a while back that had "Standard Station&

...I think what I'm finding is the earlier signs said Standard and Imperial dealer and that at some point this was removed. Hopefully someone will be able to clue me in, you have some pretty smart folks on this site...

That's one of those signs that depends on finding the right buyer. I'd put it in the $750-$950 range but if you have a Sinclair collector looking for one, it could go higher.

That one is definitely a fake. To me the best way to tell a fake is to see it and hold it in my hands. If it's on eBay and seller "doesn't know whether it's original or a repop", then it's likely a repop. This one looks like the typical 11

Looking for honest value opinions on this Auto Lite sign/display. Sign is on what I would characterize as a small "point of sale" stand. I've had it for quite a while and haven't ever seen another one. Sign is painted metal, not porcelain.

In that condition, I think Bryce is right on. And just an FYI, those tan spots look like paint and will come right off with paint remover.
