I believe a few companies used these. Maybe was available to a number of companies? For some reason i thought Mobil used them but that is mostly just from using my imagination I think. lol. One thing Im almost sure of is that Sunoco used them. Even though they look nothing like something Sunoco would use.The reason I say this is:
#1) A number of years ago, I bought a NOS Restroom set from a couple that was never used at their station. It included the pledge plate with the steel gas pump key fobs as well as the colonial door signs and a set of the signs in question. I remember thinking to myself that i never knew these were Sunoco.
PS :I have to amend this- Thinking back the couple didnt own the station they told me they bought the set from a station owner and he told them they went together.
#2) Just this past year, at Michigan Gas, I purchased a few of these signs (your sign), as well as a couple of small (maybe 1 1/2"x3"), rectangular , I want to say with curved corners , both a mens and ladies , light blue-(the same shade as your sign), door ID signs. I had never seen these light blue door signs before. I was BSing with the guy , and he said he used to own a Sunoco station and thats where these came from. So I said to myself "Aha! the other ones that I have MUST be Sunoco then. Im not sure where I stashed the light blue door signs, but Ill try to dig them up and ad a picture.
Somewhere, I have a copy of either PCM or CTO where they did a really good article with lots of info just on various Restroom ID signs. Ill look around for that as well- Maybe, might be in there.

Did these about 20 years ago and saw a post about these. I am selling a set of Mobilgas (2) pieces for $75.00 or $80.00 shipped. The Mobilgas Special is 95.00 shipped. I have only the one set of special with and extra one piece. There are three sets of Mobilgas.

James Blakey, promoter of the Dry Creek Farm Gas Show wanted me to let everyone know that this show would no longer be. He wanted to thank everyone that supported the past 14 shows whether spectator or vender. He said that there were several reasons that had led him to come to this decision....Dale

The style of the red letters looks like 50's/60's to me, but I don't know for sure what you have.

I need some help from our members. I recently purchased this sign (photo). I was not sure what petrolelum company used it or how it might be dated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

This is a never-used, reproduction BUICK Authorized Service face for an NPI spinner clock. I purchased this face about 25 years ago. In searching online today, I believe this repro BUICK face hasn't been available for some time.

The three-color graphics are silk-screened on heavy metal (NO vinyl graphics used). Has a tiny flea bite in the white paint by two o'clock, if I remember correctly. I can't get it to show in the photo. Can be easily touched up if desired, and would never be noticed behind the illusion wheel and outer glass lenses.

The price is $65, plus the shipping. NOTE: The complete clock is not for sale, just the repro face. Thanks for looking.

Hello from SLC Utah
Just bought a new home in the area has a shop with blank canvas. Thought I would fill it up. I'm into classic cars own a 1967 Mustang Fastback and a 1964 Chevelle. Growing up my grandfather owned a gas station in Washington love that smell. Anyways thought I'd join and learn some things I've already been taken on the eBay "original used" so don't need that to happen again.
Thanks for your welcomes and I look forward to reading the useful information from the site.
Shane

TexacoJoe, can you take another photo of the same area, but lower so I can see the spring that covers the hand reset rod? I assume my spring is broken as there is no tang on the left side, but there is a tang on the right side that fits into the sprocket. What is the spring's purpose?
Joe
