Heres a image of the real Polly decal from 1937 , sent to me by Morgan, the decal image that everyones been useing is wrong, that image was taken from a can not a decal so the colors everyones been useing is a little off, the original decal Polly is lighter in color, all the greens are lighter, the reproduction globe from 15 years ago is wrong, its the same Polly image that was taken from a can , this is an image of the real globe, and it is being made by Mike Slama now , but not finished, so good luck on your colors,

Thats a great picture of an original globe Dwaine, thanks for sharing it, you sure have an extensive library of photo's, where do you find them all? I'm sure not many people have ever seen a real Polly lens before as they are so rare.

I have just finished production of these lenses, I was lucky enough to have a great collector on the West Coast lend me his original to copy, so the colors and the artwork are perfect, and like Dwaine said, very different from the current repro's. being offered.

Please Check out my website for more info.........

Hey Lance , how have you been?? I've emailed you a couple times after I got my lenses from you , and asked is there a way to git the big scratches out?? can I use Rubbing compound, ?? there were three of them with a good amount of scratches, as far as the images goes , different collectors send them to me , Morgan, Larry, Ethan, and so on, I do have quit a few myself, as I have sent to you, You did a great job on the Seaside lenses except for the scratches, let me know if you have a way to remove them , And Mike sent me my Wilshire Radio lenses yesterday morning and you no what? they got here today at 2:30 . man that was fast, and I didn't have to pay any Custums fees, that was great too, well good luck on your pollys. whos globe did you use???

Since yall are talking about Polly I thought I'd share this pic with you. (not mine)

The Globe and signs are all real. And on the other side if the polly globe is a Wilshire, Economy gasoline lense. Someone told me that this was an actual way they had it setup at stations. (is that true Dwaine?)

Hey ethan, its hard to say, and yes all the Polly stuff in your image is real, Sam Bleakley's collection is great , the Polly items use to belong to a truck driver from Placerville, he at one time had the biggest Polly collection, but as we all know everythings for sale for the right price, but there is a difference in the color of the bird from the early years and after Wilshire bought them out, one of owr fellow collectors that bought one of the Seaside globes has a Polly painted neon from the same collection as the Dentist,

Since we are talking Polly Gas. Any updates on when the new decal will be produced? I know Mike Slama is in the process of working on the globe.

Thanks.

Hey Jeff, that color is Chartreuse, if you would go to Larrys website you will see he has used it himself, its a nice color and it reflechs all the greens, as far as the 1937 decals go , Dick Bennett was working on that , don't know where hes at now, if you want I can send you a larger image of Morgans decal and you can have some made in Vinyl,

Dwayne, Was Dick reproducing these decals in vinyl or water-transfer? If you have a large image I would like a copy.

Thanks,

Dean
