the Ford-Fordson sign is not porcelin, it's medal with the original frame around it. in the collection is a tapestry from a dealership that is Ford-Fordson-Lincoln also that i'm gonna try to grab. i'll post a picture tonight of that. i would love a "sign" guy to throw some price opinions out there for me. for example...that ford-fordson sign i've had guys tell me $1,200 and then had a collector tell me he bought one darn near exact to that one for $6,500. ahhhhhhh!!!! so what do i pay? of course, i'm gonna try to get all of it, so i will "work a deal", but anyone opoinion would be greatly appreciated. Chuck

Just to answer some questions, the Nash sign is double sided but not sure if the lenses are glass or plastic, i'll post when i get it. The COP is single sided medal and has a manufacture name on the front side. yes, there are hundreds of original posters in the background and i am hoping to get many of them. All of this was apart of a museum collection and has been in a warehouse for a long time. i've been working this guy forever trying to get him to sell stuff and he has finally agreed to part with it. there is over 25,000 items in a warehouse and the last time i was there, i personnaly opened over 150 boxes that have not been opened since put in storage! it took me 7 hours to open jsut those boxes. one thing i didn't post is a complete set of Burma-shave signs also. o.k, that's about it. chuck

OK viewing all the stuff you can't lay a value without asking tons of questions. On the signs are they all originals? Tin steel painted porcelain? Do you have to buy the whole thing? Is the seller just out tire kicking to get an idea of how much it's worth? I would go in and start asking the seller what do you need to get for this? Looks too big to buy the whole thing unless you are starting your own American Pickers TV show. My 2 cents. Ted

Ted, he's been tire kicking with me for a VERY long time. but, i've gained his trust and we have talked numbers on numerous items. weve agreed that i'm going this week and leaving with around 50 to 100 items. weve played the "ballpark" range game, but he is ready to make some money and all stuff shown will be with me this weekend...if i have to kill him! and no, i don't have to buy the whole collection, which i couldn't even get close too! 3 warehouses full and i've only been in one so far. were going to the other 2 building this week. i know putting value on a picture is very difficult, just was hopeing for "if in good condition, i'd pay ___." all of the items are original. they were colllected over 40 years by one guy and then were in a museum. the museum was bought and closed and has been sitting ever since. i listed at top most what most of the signs were ie..SSP DSP etc....chuck
