I am in the final stages of restoring this pump. I bought a new ID plate for it but am not sure what to stamp on it. Does anyone have an idea what "cut" this is? I didn't know if it's a 515 or something else seeing how it's a tall version. What would an period correct serial number look like? The original plates were long gone when I got the pump. Is the handle extra long on this? It's a lot longer than the handle on my regular 10 gallon Wayne 515 and I didn't know if it's extra long to help pump up the extra 12" of head pressure or if it's just simply a different handle Wayne used through the years. I tell people it's an early 20's pump. Isn't that accurate? Thanks

Thanks. I started with a pump that had spent it's life outside in an old barn lot. The barn was long gone. The old man that had it said it was put on his farm when he was a boy and at that time it had been an Linco pump. It was pretty rough. He wouldn't sell it because he was saving it for his son-in-law. Long story short: He died and the son-in-law sold it before he was cold in the ground to the highest bidder.

One other question for knowledgeable pump guys is where should the tags go? I have a UL tag, Keep Stuffing Box Tight tag and the ID plate. Right now I have the Stuffing box sign above the big nut on the pump and the UL tag right above that. I can move them as they just have some double sided tape holding them on.

Beautiful job! The handle looks like from a 615, but I am no expert. I have always wondered why they made the tall ten versions. Sure stands out!

It is 11'-3" from the floor to the top of the globe. It makes me appreciate my neighbors 8' step ladder. I would not be able to reach the top with my 6' step ladder

So I guess its probably 10' without the globe. Makes sense now.
