I was looking at the indicator page DB suggested in another post.

Saw the M&S 100 pump Tim Rohr posted showing the indicators.

The pump said M&S St. Louis, MO. I started searching and found that the pump was a Doty (page 133 of my book). Years ago I researched all the pump companies that were here in St. Louis. Not much information on Doty, just what I put in the ID book (page 14). No doubt when the company went out of business in 1928, M&S either kept making the pumps here in St. Louis, or purchased the rights to the pump and made them in New York, and just marked them St. Louis.

Can anyone add any information about this connection?
