Hi everyone!!

'got my self a new project the other day,
A Gilbarco mod 396. RA 117.
serialnumber 402506.
Appearantly it was used at an ESSO filling station as the signs in the small windows tells.
can anyone tell me what prod.year it was made?
Was this model available with a globe?
My pump have no fittings for it..the "swiviling"(?)arm for the hose is fitted where the globe should be.

How about spareparts? are they hard to find?

Appreciate all information I can get :-)

Regards Patrik

I have been able to identify just about everything that Gilbert & Barker ever made, but I can't come up with a 396. As far as I know the only thing they ever made using a 300 number was a marine pump, the 332. Could it possibly be a 996? Please check the ID tag again.

It is a Gilbarco made by Vickers Ltd in Great Britain. They made a couple of different models. Very similar to the US pumps but this one has a swingarm on top to be able to pump from either side of the pump.
My research has given nothing as for documentation - not even GB (now Marconi Ltd) in England has any knowledge about them.
Patrik, I have respondet to your email.
Jack I think I sent you some pictures, but that was during the time you had problems with the net and mail. I'll send some once more.
regards
Claes
