Could someone tell me if a directory of Esso Dealers exists? or any other ways I could find out the location of an Esso Dealer in Virginia in the 1940s ?

My grandfather owned a station, and I am trying to find out exactly where it was located.

thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Another way to go about it is to check with the local historical society or library to look through old copies of the local business directory from the years in question. Often the owner's or manager's name was listed with the business.
