While digging through some of the "treasure" left behind by the former owner of my former service station I came across an old ARCO uniform shirt patch. I also had some boards in the basement of my "new" home with the white ARCO pump decals applied.

The doors, roof overhang, base of the building, cash register all have a coat of ARCO blue over the original color which was a medium green. I have shelves from the service bay that are also painted in this same medium green.

My guess is that my former service station was originally a Sinclair and later switched to ARCO when Sinclair was absorbed by Atlantic Richfield.

Agree?

The reason I ask is that I would like to do restore the exterior of the the station back to its heyday as a working service station. I am still blessed with both pump islands.......and 37 pages of documents on the UST issues for the property.....
