It looks like I will be making a rode trip to Oak City this weekend. I should get there Sat AM. Any good antique shops in the area I need to check out that carry petro stuff? I was there once before back in the day before I collected signs and stuff.
Thanks

Don't know what is in Oklahoma City, but 19 miles north is Vic's in Guthrie if you need any parts. A block from Vic's is a restaurent decorated with pumps and a ton of old signs. Also, it is a great town, most of the downtown building were built around 1890-1910. You can just imagine Spenser Tracy and Clark Gable making plans for their next oil well (Boomtown) out in front of one of them. Wes...if you need something specific, the counter will be open from 9-12 sat AM. If you would be coming for "sight-seeing" only, our shop would disappoint you. We have completely dismantled anything resembling showroom space since we are preparing to move.

there are a number of antique stores but I can't remember the street but think it is 16th. My wife and I had great success when we were there in February for Vic's auction.

Wes: It's probably a little late now ,but I think the antique mall in El Reno is closed down now and so is Al's they were both pretty good ones. I'm pretty sure that the farmer's market has closed down also. There is a lot of antique stores around 10th and May Ave. Most of the stores have a free map you can get that has most of the Okc ones on it.
I hope that you made it up to Gutherie. They have lots of neat antique stores and cool buildings to look at. Anyway I hope you have a great time. Sorry I didn't reply sooner!
Philip
