How many of you out there recall the old drive on/over grease pits ? The ones which I am interested in were set at grade level with dual tire ramps. A set of stairs would lead you to below the automobile for service work. There could be a varity of conveniences such as oil drains for old crankcase oil, piped in motor oil lines, tool shelves etc.

I'm trying to determine if these were built on site, or if some company made them for on site installation.Literature or any other info will be appreciated. I have one such at our rehabilitated 1930 SEARS SERVICE STATION. Click on www.hpsearsoil.com

The PENNZOIL JIFFY LUBE's around here all use a pit. Quicker & safer than useing a lift. No repairs of lift either.
