Hey guy's I need some help. Do you have any ideas what I can do with this, it's about 5'6" tall?
I thought of putting water and air on it with a globe, but not sure if that would look right.
I don’t have room to make it into a light post.
So many of you guy's have creative ideas so I thought I would ask. "I'm open to color ideas also"
Thanks

Air & Water with a 3 foot pole on top and a nice harp with a porcelain bonnet. Maybe a paper towel dispenser attached? Would look really nice with that 6 sided post!

Add the globe, then drill lots of holes to display a nozzle collection!

Those are good ideas, I even have a towel dispenser but I'm not sure I have a spot for a light.
Keep the ideas coming please.
Thanks
Lee

When I tried the post on top it put the towel box to high.
But after seeing this I could use Kevin's idea for the post and just put the box on the base like you did.
So far that idea is in the leed.
Thanks for posting the picture.
I didn't see a name on it so I'm not sure if it's a revere

This site is loaded with creative talent, any other ideas????
Thanks

I had that same problem.
I custom made 2 long metal side strip hangers, that blend into the octagonal side,so I could drill into them, and not the actual REVERE light post,to hang the towel boxes mount on.
I then painted them blue to match the post.
If you zoom in,you can the face of one, just above the top lid to the towel box.
You can't see mine in these pics, but there's a heavy 2" cast base that bolts up to my post with feet.
The name REVERE is cast into that.

Both of those look like standard street light poles that have been cut down. At the very least you are both missing pieces.

I have a complete original station lighter and it is nicely capped and finished where it transitions to the pipe and it has a finished base with caps at the bottom.

Yes I agree with you Dave, at the top of my post it has three holes in it and shows something was mounted there.
I just like the post and was trying to figure a way to display it. Do you have pix you can post or e mail?
Thanks

Mine isn't a street light pole. It's a station light to be installed on a cement island between pumps.
You can add a taller section of pipe,on the smaller dia. adapter where my lamp shade is sitting on,to extend the light shade higher into the air,as per the vintage pics I've seen.
I don't have 15' ceilings,so I didn't add that.
I think Jack Sim had an ad/flyer from the 1950's for it up recently, showing it in use, that I can't find right now.

It's called a Pylon Light, and it was Dick Bennett who posted the ad flyer.
I have the base for the pylon light,as I thought LC 336 does too.
Here are 2 links with more detail.Appreciate DB for posting this earlier.
