I have seen automotive battery displays with fake batteries and was wondering if anyone on here knows where a person could have a few made or buy. I have a large Exide one I got many years ago but I just purchased a nos Battery stand and would love to get 6 fake batteries to letter up to make the stand look more as it was years ago.

Thanks
Mike

Mr. Miles, had a rack of firestone at dixie 3 shows ago. they didn't last long. Maybe some of the guys who drive trucks like interstate etc. They have them for displays in stores, but they won't look old as tops are different today.
Good luck.

I was in an Autozone a year ago, and was surprised to see a car battery on a flimsy wire rack. When I picked it up... Yep. It was just the case. No cells/acid in it.

My guess is that an independent auto parts store may be able to put you in touch with a wholesaler who might be able to get you some point of sale items. Of course, they'd be new, not old, battery cases.

Thanks Dick. This is why I love this site. My wife made the same comment last night when I told her my idea. She remembers years back before someone started reproducing the Delco tar top batteries that I bought a top piece for my battery to make it look like a tar top and she pointed it out in my shop and said "buy a few more of those and make the rest out of wood. But I'm trying to do it the lazy way!!! Thanks again

Thanks
Mike
