I won a few pieces of Flying A shoebox ad glass on Ebay a few minutes ago.... There are four pieces of glass. Looking at the auction photos; One of the pieces, except for some slight (IMO) paint loss and a "sliver" missing on the left side, is "perfect" for my display purposes. One of the pieces in missing the lower rt hand corner and also a "sliver" on the left side (again will not impact the way I will display it)... The other two pieces are "toast"... But one of the "toast" pieces does have the rt hand corner intact...

Again, sorry for being long winded....

Has anyone had good luck using "super glue and/or epoxy to "repair" ad glass?

I was out mowing and forgot about these pieces of ad glass.....

At hammer down, the winning bid for the Flying A Ethyl glass was $56...... I won my glass for $41. (or the way I think, $20.50 each for the two good pieces... LOL)

Bob, Loctite makes glass glue.Strong stuff. Get it at Loews or Home Depot. Its made especially for repairing broken glass- not china or pottery. Also claims to be dishwasher safe so I'm sure you can use it outside. I just repaired a broken oil lamp shade the other day with excellent results. Inexpensive too.

Bob, I used NAPA's Windshield Repair epoxy to glue a BB gun chip that I found inside of a cylinder on one of my visibles. The chip was 1 X 1 1/2 inches and about 1/8" thick. Before I glued it was an ugly black blotch, afterwards it was a lot less noticeable and 4 yrs later it's still holding. It comes in 2 tubes to mix as you go. Sets up in 5 min. I was pleased. I used super glue on a globe lens and it wouldn't hold.
Good luck!
