The chances of the nozzle on any pump you find today being original are 1000-1. Nozzles wore out. Service station owners could not wait for the nozzle to be repaired, they needed to pump gas.
This established a side industry. One guy in every area saw this need and established a nozzle business. He purchased as many used nozzles (notice I do not call them handles, where this ever came from I do not know) and he rebuilt them. He than went out to all the stations in his area, and left three or four rebuilt nozzles (depening on how many pumps you had). So, when a nozzle failed, you grabbed one of his nozzles, attached it to the hose and continued pumping gas. Once a month he camed by, picked up the broken nozzle, replaced it with another rebuilt one and charged you for the one you used.
In a service station that was pumping a good amount of gasoline, the life expendecy of a nozzle was a little over a year.
So....the chances of your pump coming with the original nozzle is about 1000-1.
The same can be said for the computer. Veeder-Root guaranteed them for less than two years.
If you are looking for a picture of the original nozzle that came with your pump I suggest you go to this page of my website:
