IF the decal was as old as the face it would also be slightly yellowed. Decal is almost as new as Price tag!

The clock owner would have been further ahead if he had added an "IH" decal to the face instead of the Texaco! John

You've got me wrong on this one, Dick. Most of us posters here think this clock had the Texaco decal added (to make it seem more valuable to an uninformed buyer).
I noticed that the clock manufactor's name, "International", already appeared on the clock face. That was the basis for my tongue-in-cheek post above. I was suggesting that the deceptive seller should have used an "IH" decal instead of "Texaco", to create a possibly more believable, fake clock (by capitalizing on the "International" already on the face). I hate it, when I have to explain one of my snide posts!! (Just kidding, Dick.) John

Putting a "wink" smilie face is helpful for the reader when a comically intended sarcastic message is posted. Lots of people have a hard time understanding when a person they don't know well is just kidding or if he is serious. Like this: that is a semicolon ; and a right parenthesis ) together.

Beautiful "upgrading" of the clock, Dick!! And thanks, Jim for the good advice on how to better convey the tone of any of my less than direct comments. John
