...This was probably brought up befOre but doesn't hurt to revisit...

The other day I decided to start stripping the old layers of paint off a Eco 97. I counted 4 layers of paint even before I started to use a grinder with wire brush to strip. The outer layer of green paint (came from Cities Service station) looked really weathered but still really coated the unit. A few minutes into the job it started raining so I quit. Then I started to think about the way the paint looked. I decided to take it into work and have the paint analized for lead. Sure enough the paint (which ever layer) is very high in lead content. I was stripping this without resporatory protection, which I should have know better working for a health department for 20 years. I will now be using a stripper paste to get the paint off.

***JUST A WORD OF CAUTION TO ALWAYS USE RESPORATORY PROTECTION WHEN STRIPPING PAINT AND BE EXTRA CAREFUL IF STRIPPING LEAD BASED PAINT DUE TO DUST HAZARD***
