Sweet picture. Note the Triangle auto parts sign in the background...
And the Shell spinner...
Those PermaVis wheels are like the ones for sale on ebay right now... I've got a box too from a swap meet.

That's cool!!! See that Shell globe on that pump! Anyone ever taken a computer apart to replace the numbers? NOT FUN!
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I'll never forget a trip I took up to Connecticut to visit Veeder-Root. While there I asked, "How do you take these apart and put them back together." Well they got a nice looking woman who worked on the computer to show me. She proceded to push a wood dowl through the wheels, remove them, then set the side of the computer so it would not move, this required a special tool, then she replaced the wheels, again using the wood dowl. After locking everything in place, she said, now I will rechrank the computer, and all the wheels will come up 000. She cranked the computer and they came up 274. I said that's alright, I never did want to really know how to repair the computers. Actually, I never did. Jack Sim Author, Gas Pump Identification book
