I first met Dave last year at Iowa Gas Bash. At that time he had been collecting pumps for about 6months. At that time, he had 86 or so pumps. (in six months) Heaven only knows how many he has now a year later. This guy also reconstructed a Texaco station and 1930's diner on his property. Quite the collection. I'll be back at his place on Tuesday, I'll try to get a few more photos to share. ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas

I got out to Bowmans place yesterday. Here is a couple photos. Some of his visibles. It's like standing in a forest. Clockfaces, station lighters, whoppie... Dave bought an old station, and moved it to his property in pieces. If a piece had damage he made a new one to replace it. This guy is talented. Does everything his self. The floor of this sta. has been tiled in white, with a red "T" (huge) on the floor of the bay. Looks great! He still has a tower piece to complete the top of the station. Great Guy living in "Temecula" Calif. He has pumps down his drive way too. He restores 10 at a time. He has ten pumps in primer now to finish. ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas

I neglected to take a photo of his new trailer. You guys would love it. He can haul 40 visibles all standing up at one time. All alumn. diamond plate enclosed. It looks like an 18 wheeler crusing down the highway. He does all of his own work. He has a paint shop, a welding shop, a metal fabricating shop with all the shapers and benders. I don't think I've ever met a more talented person with his hands. He has a '57 Nomad Race car that is unbelievable. His tow car? another '57 Nomad with a blower. Yeah, about 6 mi. to the gallon. I hope someday, he decides to join us here, and share a few stories. Maybe the one about the Sunset porcelain sign? ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas
