Your welcome Morgan... i wish i could have bought but don't have that money. I would rather buy a globe with that money though. LOL I thought one of the oldgas guys would want it. I figure if i can't have it than why not let one of you guys try.

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

"THATS NICE!!!" is that a keeper?

i didnt think id ever own one, but i got LUCK-EEE & i own one too!

i bought mine from an older guy & he told me to restore it & enjoy it but not to own it to long because it will be like a model T ford & the new generations wont know what it is in the future & it wont be worth diddly squat!

I SAY HE IS WRONG!
""GOOD"" THINGS ARE ALWAYS GOOD & ALWAYS HAVE BEEN & ALWAYS WILL BE!!!!!!!!

T-Bone, John might shed more light on the "find" than I. The guy I bought it from said he got it from a farm down the road from him (north of Des Moines, IA). He remembered it there when he was a kid. It was given to him some 25 years ago and has stood in the barn as pictured until last Friday when I loaded it up.

There was a thread here a few weeks ago about the one in Vics auction. John posted the email of a guy that had one for sale. I sent an inquiry, got pictures and a phone number and the rest, as they say, is history.

I'd like to know how many of these were made also. And what, if anything, the serial numbers mean, i.e. date of production, destination, company sold to etc.

This is a keeper. It is 100% original, all doors, handle, lock, everything is there.

This has been my Holy Grail of gaspumps. I guess now I'll have to move that title to another pump I don't have! LOL
