I got alot of posative feedback about last month's GOTM feature. Thanks to all that participated.
This month will cover a couple of companies that operated in the eastern and southern U.S.
The featured companies are American Oil Company, and Pan-Am Southern Corporation. Both companies were affiliated with Standard of Indiana but we'll cover Standard at a later time.
First up is a 12 1/2" American Gas globe. The 12 1/2" version is much harder to find than the metal and gill body versions. This version was only used in 1955 & 56.

Thanks to Hubba, who is going to cover for me for a couple of days.
Post 'em if ya got 'em!
Bob

Hi everyone..i am going to be posting for Pops for awhile. Hope yo uenjoy itr as much as I do.

These two sets of lenses are meant for a gill body, but are shown caulked to regular glass bodies. Both would have been used in the 1940-61 era.

If anyone has a UTOCO globe like this for sale email me at Lastgas15@aol.com

I took this shot at Iowa Gas several years ago. All three globes are 12 1/2". The American and Amoco date from 56-61 and the American Gas was used in 55-56.

Thanks for watching the store Hubba!

I've got a couple more Pan Am globes to post. I'll try to get to them tomorrow. Anyone have an American Strate, or Amoco-Gas globe they can send a picture of?
