Yesterday, I was hired to move two of my pumps to the Mojave Desert for a photo shoot. The National Geographic photographer chose these two to shoot. The intent is a cover photo for June's edition.
This shot is mine, not the professionals. I have my fingers crossed that the editor will select these pumps to grace the magazine. Pretty cool huh? The article relating to the pumps is on petroleum uses, and resources.

All the photos you sent me came in great Don. Love the way the sun hits them as it was comeing up or going down. At least there original and not adobe fantasys. Lookin good.

I am impressed! That is an awesome photo. I love those pumps just the way they sit. That background is incredible. Please let us know if the photos make the mag. Sure beats repro. pumps anyday!!

That HB pump looks excellent out there, some paint the heck out of em, put em in that setting they would look as good. The ruff Union sign looks killer in that setting, I bet it really say Speed, Beauty & Power across the bottom..LOL..guess its tuff to find pumps to take pics of at old stations these days!!

Rats..........Just got word from the photographer that the editor picked a different photo to use for the cover next month. Darn, I was really excited about this.
