The idea spurred to my cerebral cortex that perhaps I am not the only abscurity in urban america that has a gasoline pump in his living space, next to pictures of his grandkids and jesus. So what I ask of you other obscurities in atypical living, post a picture of whatever gasoline memorobilia, mainly speaking, pumps is able to be harvested in your living space.

Stay tuned for next weeks theme... "pumps in bathrooms.

have a good one,
Ethan

Hey Ethan... good subject and I look forward to posts of those who can... I can't, and it will never happen at my house. My pumps are show pieces.. worthy of the "Smithsonian".. but delegated to the Garage per my wife... Bring it on....
Let us see pics of those who can..

Ethan,
I tried for years to convince my wife that the corner of the living room would be a great place for my visible. I didn't even have to finish the sentence before she had the NO out.
I can't tell you how surprised I was when she suggested I put my Shell sign above the front door. Of course her comment after it was up a couple days was "my god I didn't know it was that big". What is that old saying about possession, the space is mine now.

I don't have any pumps in the house but I have lots of globes in the house. The 5th picture down on the home page shows some of the globes in my family room.

I think Dean Balduff has everyone beat as far as pumps in the house. He's got pumps in the living room, bathroom, bedrooms, basement, in addition to the front and back porch, and back yard. He and his son have done some killer restorations!

Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros.

Thanks for the peek at the living room pumps, guys. This should be an interesting thread.

We have 2 living rooms. The upstairs room has a National A-38 fabricated into a COKE showcase as my wife collects COKE stuff. The downstairs room has a 575 Bowser HARLEY, a Wayne 60 MOBIL and a Tokheim 36B FRONTIER. Kathy has been pretty open to having 4 pumps in the house. This is a pretty timely thread as Kathy and I will mark our 37th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

This Bowser is at the top of the stairs, bit of a struggle to get it there but it does mean that it will have to stay!!
I am in the middle of restoring a Gilbarco 86 that is crying out to go in the kitchen.

My wife was cool enough to let me keep my Mobilgas script top in the living room for about two years. My son just started crawling so I had to move it down in the cellar before he damaged it. Most people that came over to visit my home didn't really get the whole old gas pump thing.
