POSTING FOR GASPUMPROB:

----------------------------------------

Hello Doc,

Found and bought this Rheem clockface near Longbeach Ca. last weekend. Very nice complete and strait example of a West Coast (manufactured in Los Angeles) clockface pump. The faces are porc. and the visagage has an interesting looking spinner inside. Does anyone out there know how many of these are around still?

This is my latest buy. Got the lenses last week and just got the screws to put it together a few days ago. Thanks a lot JJ, it looks great on the shelf!

Tara
P.S. For as much ribbing as Jarvis gets on here, he sure does know how to pack a set of lenses! They survived UPS in only 2 pieces (each lens)!

Got this at an auction yesterday...

OK, here's the story. I bought this on eBay and just got it today. I bought the first one at an auction on Saturday so now I have two. The second one isn't hardly as good as the first but will display well.

Here are some of mine from a local guy and a local estate sale. They did not even advertise gas/oil stuff at the auction.

Phil

Thanks, Phil

I picked up this Sinclair Power-X thermometer the other day. Pretty nice shape except for some minor damage to the paint at the very bottom. I believe Power-X came out in about 1953 and was used untill about 1962. The "The Super Fuel" logo was about 1953-1959

Heres a couple from last week that I didn't post. The Mobil sign was found digging a foundation to a building,I found a base and pipe and put it together after all those years of being buried. The pumps and sign came from guy I've known for quite a few years.HAGD Joe

Got a couple of items from eBay. This Lust-Ro-Lac auto paint can is only 2 inches tall. Possibly a salesman's sample.

I have a few odd-ball paint spray guns. I think this one has a 1950s spaceman ray gun look to it. It took 2 months after my Paypal payment for the seller to ship this. When I filed a dispute, he finally shipped it right before Paypal was going to issue a refund.
