Dick that came out nice!! Really shines now. What did you use for cleaner and polish? I would love to see that on a pump that way it could shine like a beacon over the towers. LOL Rob

It looks like it would be relatively easy to vacuum-form or heat form out of white lexan.

Nobody can/will QUARANTEE [I wouldn't belive them anyway] that it WON'T get damaged in the process of making a mold.
IF IT CAN HAPPEN, IT PROBLY WILL.
It is not cost effective to have someone with a CNC to mill out the form.

SORRY, this one won't be used for the form/mold.

Want to trade for the station lighter that goes with that pump for it? I bought my dad one of those pumps some years back and it had the light tower for that pump with it. To tall for the house that way... You would really be helping me out with the brownie points ya know

scott: those eries pictured are 71s, not 70s, the 70 had no adglass frame. i have a glass top and it fits both my 70 and my 71. i would not let my top be copied either.

I am guessing that T-way and I will never find glass tops for ours. I might even buy an authentic globe (my first) for mine when I do it up. Planning on Richfield, but I really haven't made up my mind yet. Brady

Dick,
Did the people you speak to about having a mold made of this top think of using latex rubber to make the mold of yours. The latex would not break your original and could be peeled off easily. Then a resin/plastic copy could be made from that latex that could be used for making the glass/plastic replicas. Just a thought.
