Hello Everyone,
I was at the Pomona Swap meet this weekend and didn't spend a dime until the 2nd to the last row when this lubster caught my eye. It has Harbor Oil Decals on both sides. Could it be original? I paid $60 for it and it still pumps (there is still about an inch of oil in it). It is in very good, if dirty, condition. What is something like this worth as is and restored? What are your thoughts? It is made by Erie.

I would just clean it up and leave it as is. Not very often you find them with a nice original Decal. Just My 2 Cents.

Even if you had to give $100.00 that still would have been a good buy. I'm with Jason, clean it and leave it original. Those decals are too cool.

Nice find!

I'd say it would be worth considerably less if you restored it. Keep it as is! Maybe get rid of the grime, but be careful.

Well I tried to clean and restore it, but the decals just crumbled, so I had T-Ways Graphics make me some decal replicas and off to the powder coater and chrome shop. My friend Chris deserves allot of the credit as his help cannot be overstated. I think it looks fantastic!

I was just looking at your old post the other day thinking how cool that thing was in original condition and now this. That thing looks bad a$$ restored, good job! Are those vinyl decals you got from T-Ways?

Looks cool. Can I ask what it cost to chrome plate those pieces? I have a couple things I would like to to that to, but was told its very expensive. Also, can you chrome plate any kind of metal?
