As a few of you know, I decided to try to raise some money for the Community Center in our little town. The community center provides a shuttle van to take seniors and others in need to doctors appts. etc. They provide other services too, including free, or low cost meals. I really wanted to support their efforts, so I decided to open up my collection to the public for a "gas pump museum tour". I was only able to do it one day, so I chose the Saturday before Father's Day. I just wouldn't have had the time during the event to take any shots. Thanks to the old gas guys that showed up to support the event! When it was over, I had over 300 people visit, and took in $1,000.00 in donations that will go to the community center. It was a good day! Thanks for the support from this site. Don

Don--Wonderful story and a great cause! Loved the pictures of your collection and I can only imagine the hours spent to amass such a beautiful collection. I only hope I get to see it in person one day! Thanks for the glimpse!

Wow, Don! What a great collection display and a cool thing to do for the cause. I also love the Tydol - Associated row of green gas pumps. They make a "knock your socks off" set all together.
