Got this from another collector today and very glad to now have them in the collection.

Also, on my last purchase of Texaco goodies I ended up with one of the 1990's reproduction Marine Lubricants signs. Spoke with the seller and he refunded me enough so that I was happy with the 2 smaller signs and the repro, so it will stay in the collection and off the market. I may hang it next to the original Marine Lubricants sign so that it can be next to the real deal smirk

Thanks for everyones help on explaining the reason it was a repro!

...looks like the lineup from Dixie Gas...nice stuff!

...you might think of Dremelling 'REPRO' in the back side of the fake Marine Lubricants, for posterity...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Good call. It is now extremely obvious now that I look at it though. Black T (D'OH), no names on either boat and mast of sailboat touches I and is not in the center of the I

I'm glad that they stayed together as a set. I'll just have to wait for my turn.

I am too, as I was hoping the Auto Diesel one on ebay didnt go too high as it was the last of the set, and I was gonna make sure it was staying with his buds whatever it took wink

I seen that one as well. My shop's not heated (not yet anyways) and I'm hesitant buying painted tin signs and cardboard/paper items. Gets very humid in the winter on the Westcoast here.
