Here are my buys from the past couple weeks. I have not been keeping up... shame on me. Not much, but I like the stuff that I got. I will post some more later in the week. I got a load of add glass from Clinton. The conoco outboard, P-H, Jesco, Premium Quality and the mobil 1 gal are my can buys.

Thanks
Noah

I just got these on Friday and spent part of the weekend draining, cleaning and/or re-lidding some of the cans. I barely got the older bug killer stuff into the display case. I have got to stop buying it or else have a show case dedicated to it only. Cheers, Don.

I got a couple Pre- Columbus oil can show buys. First is a Sinclair grease gun rack. I think it is from the 1930's time frame. I have seen several of the signs before but this is only the third or fourth complete rack I have seen. There are hooks to hold 5 grease guns and they are labeled as to what grease gun should go in each spot. I have several different year lube indexes, I need to find an older one that lines up more with when the rack probably first came out

Also got a Sinclair/ Pasco sign;

As per the net,
"Transition (1969 – 1976)
In 1969, Sinclair was purchased by the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) in what was considered one of the largest acquisitions of its day. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission subsequently required ARCO to divest itself of Sinclair assets in the western United States. This led to the sale of a refinery in Sinclair Wyoming, pipelines, terminals and service stations, along with the Sinclair brand name and logo, to the Pan American Sulfur Company (PASCO)."

The book "Porcelain Enamel Advertising" by Bruner has a picture of this sign in it. The book is dated 1994. As per the book, only 25 of these signs were produced by the Southwest Porcelain company out of Tulsa OK. I have seen a couple pictures of this sign and have a friend that has had one for a long time but I never saw one in person or for sale untill I got this one. I also know of one oil well lease sign that is marked Sinclair/ Pasco.

How far apart are the cut of posts? Skelly had a Tombstone style sign if I remember right, and that's what I would think a base like this would work for.

Happy Father’s Day to all you Dads!!

Some may say Texaco never made a 30” double side painted sign. Well Imo, here is one that proves differently. This is becoming one of my favorite signs because of the research I have been doing to authenticate the sign. The ring it’s mounted in has holes at the bottom which would suggest that it was used as a lollipop style curb sign. If you were to hold this sign in your hands you as well would be a believer. IMO this is a true survivor painted sign. I didn’t post in this forum to open a debate about it I just wanted to share with you one of my truly great finds. The condition is poor but as for now it’s the nicest known to me to exist. I have been working with a few oldgassers on the research of it and would ask any one who may have more info to please pm me. When I have more info about it I will start a thread in another forum. Here are some of my other buy for the week. Keep the buys coming everyone!
