Nice haul Ron. Gotta love that Ford tractor sign! For those that aren't familiar with these signs the more common version has a rectangle under the oval with "Tractors" on it. Not sure exactly when that sign would have been used. Probably started sometime right after the war or in the 1950's.

The Poor Mans Petrolania Museum went to the Pomona Swap Meet to see what we could find to add to our display. It was the trip from Hell! First of all we had to travel to the Los Angeles area (bad enough), but then after about 160 miles of smooth traffic we hit a traffic jam 5 miles before we got there. took 45 minutes to go five miles and we were late leaving to start with. Finally got there at around 6:30 pm on Saturday and it gets dark at 7:00 so we couldn't get much of a preview. Spent the night at a friends house and got up at 5:00 am to get there early. It rained all night so we didn't know what to expect. Got there around 6:30 am (still dark) was cloudy, but not raining. Said hello to Dick Bennett then started looking. Began raining again around 7:00, rained really hard around 7:30am, but we kept looking. Bought an umbrella for 10 bucks, rain stopped, kept looking, bought a few things. Started raining again, so we started driving the truck around the swap meet to see what we could find. Stopped raining again so we started walking, then it started raining again (it never rains in California, "girl don't that worn ya, but it pours, man it pours"). So to make a short story long here's what I got. Check out that "TG&Y" can. How many of you have a TG & Y Can in your collection? How many of you actually remember TG&Y? Remember now the poor man will only pay five bucks or less so these are all one to five dollar finds. Also found this cool Kendall can for three bucks. Like these cheap Valvoline signs for light ups. Hope you all had a happy hunting weekend! [This message has been edited by c cragg (edited 10-17-2004).]

Hi Doc, could you post these for me, thanks. Looks like Ron and I have the same BOTW with the Wadhams SpeciaLo globe. A special thanks to BIG Cheese!! The pump was a purchase by my wife at Michigan Gas, she saw it, wanted it, and next thing I know I'm driving home with it hanging out of the trunk. Not that I don't like Texaco, but can someone tell me how to remove the decal safely so we can add a Wadhams decal. It will go much better with the globe. THANKS WADS, MRS. WADS, CHEESE & MICHIGAS!)

Hey Joe, lets let Ron price these and hope we can be in the right place at the right time. Ron is a fair guy, if you want one of the Wadhams globes, just ask. He will shoot you a good, fair deal. If the globes go elsewhere, well, the more hands they pass through, the higher they get until they set for sale with NO buyers. Sound familiar, because I think I might know where I could buy some overpriced stuff, but common sense says NO NO NO. Maybe if more people said no to high prices they would come back in line. Joe, the ball is in your court.

Here is a Wayne 511 that I bought on ebay, and got last week. It was missing the doors, and Cheese had a set for me. I know this is a newer pump, but I just couldn't pass on a "Grade Selector" pump. Had to have one for the collection. Here's a little better look at the face I shared this pump with you a couple of weeks ago. But this week I actually got it stripped and assembled. Yes, I know it's crazy, but this is what I found while stripping it. It was not only flying "A", but Richfield and Imperial too. Looks pretty good cleaned up ! Thanks Cheese for you Help with this ! ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas
