Good Evening all. Dad and I bought a mid 50's Era Bear Dy-Namic model 33 wheel balancer at an auction Sat. Brought it home, unloaded it, plugged it in, mounted a wheel and balanced it. Paid the hefty sum of $15.00 for it. Also got a small old metered gear oil dispenser and a very old step on the pedal, top flips open oily rag can. $1.00 each. No signs or pumps but a good auction otherwise.

Went to an auction in Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon - Rex and several oil and auto guys were there - enough serious money present, so nothing went cheap. Most items were average to rough condition. Got the five items below. Notice the overall sign - second photo is close up of the pig - thought it was neat item. ------------------ Ron Bettin 740-774-OHIO(6446) bettin@bright.net

Click on the url below and you should get some photos of a Wagner Comax Brake Lining display box that was just given to me this weekend. The brake lining box and the items that I will show next week all came from a Richfield gas station. The box is in good shape and most of the brake lining boxes and linings are in fair shape. I also got two other items that I will show next. http://www.geocities.com/johnn1243/brake-s.jpg John

Here's the Wayne 50 I got in Santa Rosa. Yes, I'm very excited to own this baby. Here is a Hayes Cash Recorder clockface that I also got in Santa Rosa. Check out the "Art Deco" lines. Nice lines on top, with more detail on the bottom of the pump too. ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas

The Poor Man didn't get to go to Santa Rosa on Friday as planned (sorry guys I owe you some Firestone beer). Probably saved myself alot of money but missed alot of fun. Had to pacify my need with garage sales on Saturday and the Ventura Flea Market on Sunday. As I have mentioned before this Flea Market is the haven of "Shabby Chic-dom" so you have to work a little harder to find stuff for the collection. Had to bump a few ladies out of the way too. Not alot of goodies, but didn't spend alot of cash either which is what the Poor Mans Museum is all about. Got a handful of maps, I like the Signal one the best so I had to buy a "signal" to go with it. (We don't slow down in California so we don't need the yellow.) Also picked up a Dunlop Tire sign for fifteen bucks. Now is that shabby chic or what?

This is my only purchase from Fred's Gas Bash since Gas Pumps, Signs, & Oil Cans all seem to melt in California rain. HA HA. I got what I needed though, and am thankful that Tim Hansen stuck around for me. It's always neat to see all of Fred's goodies. A real neat collection even in the rain. ~Jason
