------------------------------------------------------------------------

Doc,
wanted to see if you would post this butler 30 I picked up yesterday, I got back lae so I didn't have time to put it inside - we got a storm overnight and it got covered in snow-but it makes a pretty picture.
Thanks

(POSTING FOR BUTCH GREER)......

Hi Doc,
I dug these out of a old bulk plant on the way to the KC auction.  They are
both one of a kind.  This globe was used until the glass lenses were
produced.  It is painted on a old banded body.  The Little Bear lenses are
different.  More Teddy Bear looking!  The glass lenses bring $10K per
set..............

My friend brought me this cool Mobil battery stand...It was way different than I expected. My Buddy Tim Hansen has an earlier one thats bigger and different shape. I really like this smaller version and the diamond shape. I am going to put some red acrylic plastic to line the shelves and mount an under counter light in the top of it and use it for a lil display for mobil stuff. he said if he kept it he would restore it but even though its not the best shape..I think I will leave it as is...its not that bad at all.

We all love clockface gas pumps. Here is a clockface auto paint mixing contraption I just got off of eBay. A clear lighted tube can be cranked up and down in a paint can and measured micrometer style on the round scale. Just strange enough that I had to have it.

I finally completed my set of Flying A plates with the purchase of the Red & White plate from a friend and fellow collector.

Now I have the set!

Great buys everyone!
That's one crazy looking contraption Jim. It looks like it would display well on the kitchen counter. LOL. Just don't tell Maureen it was my idea!

Gasgeezer, do a search on oldgas for the texaco marine sign. There was a post I think by oltoydoc that compared the new and the old signs. The biggest errors were in the details. An example being that the name on the boat was legible on the real sing and not on the repo...

Hey Ted, I think I am going to be a pump collector who has small collections of a few companies.
I can't see having all those cans around but I do want some from Seaside and Sunset... you bringing any to Fred's?
I still need my first good sign too... some good deals the last time I was at Fred's. Seaside went for a nice price! I should've bought it.
This time I'll be ready!
