While Butch has been knocking down the big stuff I've been concentrating on the little stuff this summer (at least since my gas bash in July). Actually, I've been too busy to hunt and I'm trying to focus my collection. Even my signs have gotten smaller. Here's a little sign off of a radiatior cleaning machine. I find myself going for the "whimsical" characters and other small stuff so I've picked up some license plate toppers here and there. Some are petro, some aren't but they make a nice collection. These represent a few weeks. Yes, I know the Mobil horse is a repop and yes those globes are shameless reproductions. I've been cleaning up my collection a bit too and trying to put in more "characters" and dimensional stuff. I'm striving for a look of "organized chaos".

I picked this Sinclair sign up at a local farm auction. The farmer had taken the sign home from the local Sinclair station years ago and buried the sign upside down and used the cast iron base as a birdbath. It was just recently dug back up. Amazingly, it is in pretty good shape. The steel ring has some pitting in it from being in the ground but otherwise it is still pretty good. It will now be used as a curb sign once again in my collection. Keith [This message has been edited by keithia (edited 08-21-2005).]

Here's my buy's from the last 2 or 3 weeks: mostof the quarts are from Don(5quart).Thanks! The rest are from garage/estate sales except the texaco spica thats an ebay buy. Believe it or not I rescued this poor guy from the trash at an estate sale,It's not pretty but I'd rather have it than the dump! bought the following in bouckville antiques show this weekend. I'll have some more to post later gotta go out to the garage & take the pics.
Got Socony???
Tom
