Thought I would start this off with the VERY RARE SALESMANS SAMPLE PUMPS.

Salesmen would show the customers a scaled version of the real pump. Some are actual working models [kerosene or water was used for the demo], others are a static display. Some have moving parts.

This is a VERY EARLY one [1qt used for size comparison].

LETS SEE WHAT YA GOT.

Cool pump, but rare.
Perhaps you should include lighter fluid pumps as they are sort of scaled down.

Here are 4 more from my collection. These are NICKEL PLATED BRASS, & are also working samples.

The 2 square tanks & 41 are BOWSER MFG. I have no idea what company the large one is. Would like to find out so I can make a correct base.

Sure was hoping that there was some samples in your collections.
SO, I will add
GAS PUMP LIGHTER FLUID DESPENCERS.

BREVETTATO PATENED,
is the only name on it.
The gas pump on this one is 8 1/2" tall & holds the fluid. Lifting the top on the despencer on the right would despence the fluid.

GILBARCO 1002
This one also stands 8 1/2". There is a button on top for despencing the fluid. Base & ceneter section are wood w/ cast alum. doors.

Dick, wish I could help out but nothing on this end. You must have the only ones left out there.

Not really a salesman sample or a lighter fluid dispenser, but a very cool ashtry advertisng "Hayes" pumps, and the "Major Bowes" Radio Show. You'll have to ask someone older than me (D.B.?) what the show was about.

One of my favorite dispensers. The globe its self becomes the pump mechanism to dispense the lighter fluid, by pumping it up and down.

This dispenser holds the lighter fluid in the glass cylinder. By opening the valve on top, it allows the fluid to flow out the nozzle. On the front, is a slot for the clients coin. It is cast on the front "one cent".

Another great one. The same as Rex posted, but without the Standard branding. The whole base of this pump is hollow allowing for the storage of the lighter fluid. The little plunger on top dispenses it. There is a tube that comes up to meet the spout, it rotates to the rear to expose the spout it's self. Very interesting design.

Here is a minature Bowser Rollway pump. Double sided, cast metal. The nozzles are attached to a spring inside the body that allows it to be "retracted" once pulled out. I'm missing the decals for the faces. Maybe someone will make me a set?

Here's the back side.

Here is a Minature Rocker can that I found on ebay awhile ago. I'm not sure if it was a Salesman sample or not? I need a great decal for the sides, don't you think?

This should give you a better idea of the actual size. It has amazing detail, including the pour spout. Even the handle is rolled like a real one.

Here is another Salesman Sample like D.B's Bowser.

One that advertises for Standard Oil "Oronite" Lighter fluid. The fluid container fits inside the dispenser.

This is the last of my photos that fit into this catagory. As you can see, I still don't have my stuff put away in display cases. This photo shows five lighter fluid dispensers. The two closest, are both coin operated. The third one (between the pump radio, and Veltex sign) Is a great Gilbarco clock face pump (brass faces) , with a real glass, visi-guage on the side. The final two are inside the display case, and their photos were posted earlier.
