Nice Photo, thanks for sharing.
Ok, now anyone out there have the Crown globe which is on the third pump? I'm your buyer if you do.
Look closely, it is a Crown with 7" flanged glass base mount with 2" spaced jewels around the lower band. Most likely a Blue crown, but my guess maybe Green too.
Oldnfuelish, was this an actual photo or just a picture in a book/newspaper? Can it be more closely dated? My guess this photo is probably late 20's early 30's.
Still looking for Gray, Green, or Gasoline Lettered Crowns for my collection.
Thanks Kim

Mick, Great picture. Thanks for posting it. Kim, Thats probably a blue crown with the close spacing on the jewels. I've seen globes like that in old pictures but I've never seen one in person or a recent picture of one.

Lastgas: Bob, I agree. I know for sure they made that globe as a Blue crown. I have a family photo with this globe on a known Solite pump I can date to 1936. I have also seen this globe in person recently...Its only my speculation that they may have also used this mold in a different color than Blue, time will answer that question I guess.
Oldnfuelish: Thanks for the reply on the date, still a great photo, thanks for posting.
Regards, Kim

Kim, Ya would think with the other rasied letter crowns that they would have had the SOLITE rasied letter displayed also. db

Dick, I agree, you would think all raised letter crowns would be the norm, but I suppose it depends on the year and so on. It doesn't make sense to me why the Solite Brand would have that I can think of six different configurations of globes but only one sign variation I can think of.
(Solite metal body and lens in 15" & 16.5", Solite raised letter, Blue crown flanged base with regular spaced jewels, Blue crown flanged base with 2" spaced jewels, Blue crown with metal adapter fitting...or at least six that I know of.)

Kim, There's one more version. Raised letter, flanged base SOLITE crown that was painted RED. There are at least two known to exist. Bob
