Hey guys, ran across these yesterday. The pump on the porch of the old store is a Rapid Dayton, not sure of the model. Of course I asked if it was for sale. The fella siad he promised his parents when they died that he would always keep the store and farm in tact after they died. The store still has everything in it from the 50's, coca cola drink box, meat slicers, scales, hideaway liquor storage safe (prohibtion) bar and counter top, stools...... the inside is a time capsule. The Tokheim 39 tall and short beleive it or not are on the same road about 5 miles away, found the owner but not home. Why do I keep finding these things we obsess over and keep coming home with an empty truck bed?????

Cool photos. The Tall 39 has a better face than mine on its bad side.

It upsets me to see that the owner of this property hasn't any respect. To let the good old red, white, and blue laying on the ground next to what appears next to some trash!!!!

VERY COOL post !

I have to agree with Paddy on the American Flag thing. If I were closer I would go back and take care of the flag. I have personnally taken flags off of porch's and poles that were not being respected.

Thanks a bunch for the look see on your find!

LARRY
