For something to do I scanned all the old gas/oil matchbooks I have... Anyone recognize any of these garages?

You have quite a few of them from my area. Vinton Motor Co. was in Blair, NE (about 13 miles west of here, across the Missouri river). I think they moved to Blair from Tekamah (just north of Blair) years ago. They went out of business about 5-7 years ago and now there is a small strip mall in their location. Vinton is the name of the mall.

Interesting. I have a collection of around 500 matchbooks all from the 1940s-50s, all from within a 5 hour radius of where you are - diners, hotels, bars, cafes, stores, if anyone wants me to check for a certain business. There were only these 24 or so gas/oil matchbooks in the bunch though.

Same here. Most of mine are local 30+ years old and some still in business! I need to seriously finish sorting mine. I know I have some worthy of posting here.
