Good looking machine, but what happened to the oil compartments above the valves? This must be a rarer model, for the others have the oil on top of the valve.

Definitely the coolest thing I've found in some time. I'm hoping the guy has the top casting, he says he has a box of stuff that goes with it, if not I'll have one made. Does anyone have photos or literature on these they would be willing to share?

Nice find! A friend of mine was also bidding on it. The valves usually have glass cylinders above them. Maybe this was an economy version.

Ed, I looked through Jacks BD literature and theres nothing there.

Have had a ton of emails, seems there are maybe 3 or 4 of these in collections and no one has ever seen this version.

Craig, I'm coming home through Seattle, maybe I'll stop by and you can have a look at it anyway.

Got a couple more pics today, this thing was born the way you see it, nothing missing, it even has two of the original refillable containers.

Lubo Oil Fountain

very cool, I am going to be the noob here and start firing away with questions.

I guess there are several nozzles for different oils?

The "sleeve/shell/housing-thing" just slides up and down on the chains that are aligned with the inner poles?

How tall is this monster? How much does it weigh?

thanks

-Yes, six different grades of oil, contained in tanks and pumped underground to the Lubo.

-Yes, the upper skin slides on guides along the inner poles.

How tall is this monster? How much does it weigh?
-Well I still have to pick it up, but Id estimate 60" or so, maybe taller and 300lbs.
