smile. Got some pics of the progress on the face today.i think it looks great! Here's the original

And the new one, mirrored and etched, ready for painting

Keep in mind that all the letters, and outlines you see are mirrored, not white.hard to light a mirror. One more of the back.

I think it's going very well!
" Hi, Mick,

Attached are three pictures.  The first is one of the original pictures for your ease of comparison.  The second is a reproduction piece from the back.  I'ts backlignted on a light table, and shows the mirrored vs the etched areas.

The third is the mirrored face, and arrives with a wry apology.  Being a mirror, it is difficult to isolate it for a photo.  Thus, it shows some environmental items too.  Oops, hope that's alright for a progress pic!

Trusting you have plans to post these so all will see....Hey, you're having way too much fun with this process!!    ;)

Thanks,

Kathleen"

...looks pretty good - where/how will it be dated?

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
