I had an idea the other day about where I might be able to hang one of the signs that I bought in Calgary the other week. Wall space is getting tight around here but I thought it just might fit with some rearrangements. I took down off the wall one of the four foot White Rose signs and measured up the free space and the new sign would just fit. I had to take off the new sign's metal hanging bracket which was a good thing for it was fairly rusty even though it is porcelain coated. The sign itself is mint but it must have been outside where moisture would have got in and start to rust the metal frame from the backside. Anyway I slapped a quick coat of paint on it and screwed it to the wall. The tricky part was threading in mounting screws along the top edge. I cheated and only put in one in the middle. I had to use a dime on the slotted screw to turn it for that was all the room I had. Canadian Oil Companies, Ltd was the company's name which marketed the White Rose brand in Canada. This is just my simple way of recycling an empty closet space at the bottom of the stairs to the basement. Cheers, Don.

Looks amazing! Very impressive "White Rose" corner.

BTW I'll drive down from BC anytime you want to de-clutter.

Thanks Dave, the coffee pot is usually on and visits by fellow enthusiasts are welcome. I have spent a lot of time honing my cleaning skills with reasonable success. They all can't be winners but you do the best you can. There is no wife so all the closets are mine to do with as I please. Unfortunately the house was built in the mid-fifties so no big walk-in closets. Maybe I will put one in the new garage, lol. Cheers, Don.
