IN ALOT OF CASES, FONTS HAVING CURVED LETTERS LIKE THE S AND THE C ARE USUALLY TALLER TOP & BOTTOM THAN THE STRAIGHT TOP & BOTTOM LETTERS.

But I do agree....It looks out of proportion and exaggerated a bit.

The spacing between the L and the A adds to the proportion issue and makes it look off center.

It might look a little wierd if you stare at it too long but I have to think its authentic? Wonder what it would have been used for?

I'm wondering the same. I've never seen one and wonder why would they repop such a small plain sign that won't bring much.

Won't bring much?...I think otherwise! Small does not equal cheap in sign collecting....often the opposite!

I know the small signs bring alot. I've paid more for my 4 to 12 inch signs than for my large ones. I just don't see this one going for more than 350 or so. If I knew it was real and what it was for I'd bid more but I don't so I just keep staring at it. Lol

I have one like it, mine has a black back if I recall. I got mine a few years ago, it came from the Jackie Knott collection. One sold recently on ebay for right at $400
