this is repop... you can report it, but mainly im posting as a reminder.

the originals have a tail at the 'o' in Ford.

looking at those 2 ford logo's,
there is a lot of difference.. ... cool

The absence of a tail on the o means nothing about originally. remember the one out of the spring in florida no tail but no question about original or not. I have several ford battery signs some with tails some with open d or closed all 100% original some marked with maker some not.

FWIW, here is the real deal from an old photo I had.
I see differences from both the above examples.
For example, look at were the circle in the "d" comes up against the line in the "d".
And the overall length of the top of the "F"

Go to that site search ford sign it's pictured in things pulled out of the spring mentioned above. If someone could put the picture up its got no tale on the o . The one on ebay is the same

If I understand the story from the site, this has to be real.
And it doesn't match the old picture. Just goes to show how things either change or are just different in some of these old signs.
