This is a fantasy can with a paper label. Seller does not specify if it is new or old and I just want to clarify in case some members are unsure. 270326173973

Here is what I emailed Him... Dear nada-egypt, You Should state that these cans are Fantasy/Reproduction/Copy as I beleive the can is old but the Paper label is new. Because I see the Opaline can you have listed says One U.S. Quart on the Label and also looks like the Gilmore says it also. This is probably a 2 or 4 oz. Can. All reproductions should also be dated so they can not mislead people. Thanks, Jason.... - hotwheelgod1 Here is his Response....... Dear hotwheelgod1, i have no idea thanks - nada-egypt

I noticed he has others in the same size. Check out the Polly can. It's a hoot. It looks blue.

At least you received a response Esse.
I had seen the Gilmore auction a couple hours after they listed. I initially thought it to be one of DB's fantasy cans. Is it one you had made DB?
I emailed them that they should state the cans are fantasy/fake items. That it looked like the cans were "aged" somehow and then the labels were put on. This was obvious to me since every can has some sort of rust/corrosion and none of the labels on the cans had any damage.
No response.
Worst one is the SHELL X 100 can, label is way off-center. Auction pic is at an angle, need to see a straight on photo of it to know just how bad it actually looks.

Gilmore, Those Cans where not made by DB he doesn't put cheap paper Labels on his Cans, his are of much better Quality, plus he would Change the Contents size to "Contains 4 oz." not "One U.S. Quart" like these cans say. They would also not have blank backs on them. I Have Bought alot of Dicks Cans a They Are TOP NOTCH, the best Reproduction cans available and all his cans are Dated.

Even my 1st paper labels were more detailed than these. These were/are military gun cleaning solvent.

Sorry, I thought it might be one of your old styles with the paper labels. Way back when. BTW, I wasn't implying that you yourself "aged" the cans, then put on the labels. After re-reading my post, I realize it could be read that way. I know you wouldn't ever do that to deceive anybody big guy.

No offense taken. Before I made any COPY cans for sale, I asked a few leading collectors what they thought of COPY qts. Most did not have a problem as long as they are clearly dated. I have dated all but a few custom made Fantasy cans. Seams are printed on, not faked like "Give to Olive". ALL my qts are on New cans. Small ovals are old gun oil/solvent cans. When a seller wants to buy for re-sell [ebay], I INSIST they describe them as Dated Reproductions. I watch their auctions & will Not sell them more if not listed as Reproductions. A few of my cans have sold for over $100 & were listed as Dated Reproduction. db
