Is some kind of oddball reproduction or the real thing ? I've never seen any thing like it.

120402426248 Novelty item.
Not old OLD. Some were made in different colors when original mold was found.
Sure not worth much more, if any of what is bid.

The guy that reproduced them, use to set up at the coin opp show in IL. He made clear, red, blue, and green if I remember right. They sold back then (8 years ago) for around $300 new. I think there worth around $400. As far as I know they don't make them anymore.

I have a friend that has a prototype from Standard oil that is clear green and is embossed with Standard Oil on it. It has screw on base. Guess they were thinking of going to the colored glass at one time, maybe cheaper then painting them.

I've seen them lit up. and they are very cool. The seller could of at the least cleaned it up and put a light in it. The picture doesn't even start to do the globe justice. IMO
