Its not as far fetched as some others. BUT looking at his previous sales, another seller with Numerous repros mixed in with real.

I could not believe some of the prices he had, but maybe in his part of the country things are expensive.

...what you call 'optimism', I call greed...this is what 'American Peckers' inspires: a legion of people solely interested in making a quick buck, and who can't be bothered with the historical aspect... this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-1950s-F...D-/281111204094...is a 'fridge magnet, without the magnet...the artwork was shot off a globe lens - you can see the curvature in 'Flying'... ...then there's that fake *** blue Coca-Cola sign...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Travis, My avatar pic is my sign from the original add from when I bought it. However, I doctored up that pic in MS paint software before making it my avatar Here is the before pic. It has a couple hits in it but once I get it cleaned up all the rust run will be gone and it will look alright!! Like I said it's not in quite as good of shape as this one for $4500, but I'm very happy with it at $400 !! The strange backstory to my sign is, the guy was tearing down a vertical tongue and groove paneled wall in the basement of an old house he bought in Pa. and he found the sign actually inside the wall!! I'm not sure how the stud spacing fit into that, but that is what he told me. I told him if he finds the arrows to call me, but I never heard from him

Someone is listening.. 230993315896 Yah I saw that. Now that is a little more like it. And if you read it, it says not pictured but he has an original bracket(s)as well. It's not cleat but it sounds like the bracket is included.

Another from that initial seller.. 271221301765 That price is not quite as nuts. Personally though, $100 would be my mark on it. And I would probably just hold out and pay the $400 for a better one. I believe that is the curb sign. I don't know that there are a ton of them out there.

Wait until he post a regular "No Reserve" auction with a low starting price- if the money does not go high enough, he suddenly pulls the auction! It happened to me on one of his signs...
