Can anyone tell me if there are old original red crown signs that read on the lower left AD 1954 on the lower right IR 1-48. I had just bought Two, sold as original. After some research most reproductions have the same ad# + IR # ? Any chance these are original?

Originals did not have grommets. Post a picture of the front and back of your signs.

The corners on the reproduction signs are different than the originals. I'll try to get some pictures of mine today or tomorrow.

They look just fine, Thats why I asked if they had grommets because like someone else said the old ones did not have them.

The first picture is the reproduction sign. The corners have a tight radius....about the size of a penny.

The second picture is the original sign. The corners have a larger radius....about the size of a half dollar.

There weren't any grommets in either sign.

Yours look to be original.
