I recently acquired this 100 year old tall one gallon French Auto Oil tin. It was made by the Continental Oil Company which became North Star Oil in June 1919. The logo is appealing to me with the beaver and maple leaf on the shield with the crown on top and the two flags. I haven't seen any tins by this company for sale for in some time and bought it out of an antique mall just before they shut down. Cheers, Don.
