My question is was this for a store? Seems to me a gallon of gun oil is a lot for the average person. Or was there a different use for gun oil? I’ve seen the pints & qts but never a gallon

Interesting can. One that I have never seen. Is it possible that it was a bulk buy and dispersed in country stores, where it could be placed into small bottles? Just a guess. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

I've heard the larger cans were used by the military. That's of course a very early Texaco graphic and WWi era? Great find nonetheless!!
