Today I visited the meseo of gas stations " Museum Fisogni " in Tradate , Italy . There are more than 1,000 pieces between pumps , gadgets , tin containers and logos tin . He ' also joined the Guinness Book of Records . There are rare items and in perfect condition . It ' also available a book that lists all the items that are part of the museum , with some explanation and a website http://www.museo-fisogni.org/ , where there is only a small part of what you can see for yourself . It's a great place!

Is that shell globe with the flair at the bottom edges rare or common or mostly European?

Nicole, I believe all Shell globes shown in this thread are from Britain. The far left is the oldest of the four shown and I believe it has been reproduce some years back. They may have been used in other parts of Europe? but the Shellmex is Britain only IIUC. The three to the right may have been used through the 50s.
